Product & Features Terms and Conditions

These Product & Features Terms and Conditions were last updated on the 09 October 2018 and the updates take effect from that date.

1. Cash Out Rules

These rules (the ‘Cash Out Rules’) are incorporated into and form part of the Sportsbet Rules, Terms & Conditions: https://helpcentre.sportsbet.com.au/hc/en-us/articles/115004802547-Sportsbet-Rules-Terms-Conditions.

1.1. Sportsbet may, in its absolute discretion to end your original bet early (‘Cash Out’).  Any request to Cash Out (‘Request’) may not be withdrawn.

1.2. The Price will be available for you to view when you are logged into your Account in the ‘My Account’ section.

1.3. Sportsbet may choose to accept or deny your Request in its absolute discretion and without providing a reason or advance notification.  In deciding whether or not to accept a Request by you to Cash Out, Sportsbet will have regard to a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the occurrence or non-occurrence of any event or events in respect of which the bet was originally made and which may have already been completed.

1.4. If the original bet that a Request relates to was placed after the beginning of the relevant event (ie "in the run" or "live"), Sportsbet will not accept a Request over the Internet and will only accept or deny a Request via the telephone. In all other cases, Sportsbet may accept or deny a Request in respect of the bet over the Internet or via the telephone.

1.5.
If Sportsbet accepts your Request:
a. your original bet will immediately come to an end (will be 'Cashed Out'). Sportsbet will be deemed to have accepted your Request:
i. if you have made the request via the Internet, once a "betting receipt number" is issued through the Website; or
ii. if you have made the request via the telephone by calling 13 BETS, once you either indicate your agreement with the confirmation of Sportsbet's acceptance of your Request as read-back to you by the Sportsbet representative or, if you do not disagree with that confirmation, when the confirmation is read-back to you before the telephone call ends;
iii. if you made the Request during a live event over the telephone using Cash Out Live ('COL'), once Sportsbet confirms over the telephone that the bet has been Cashed Out

1.6.
The acceptance by Sportsbet of a Request is an agreement between Sportsbet and you to end the original bet early and for Sportsbet to pay you the Price in respect of the occurrence or non-occurrence of any event or events in respect of which the bet was originally made and which may have already been completed. The acceptance by Sportsbet of a Request does not constitute the entry into a new bet.

1.7. Sportsbet is not liable for any loss you may incur in connection with your use of the Cash Out feature or Sportsbet accepting or denying your Request (including any loss incurred due to a delay in Sportsbet accepting or denying your Request).

1.8. Sportsbet may, in its absolute discretion, change, suspend, restrict or cease to offer the Cash Out feature at any time and without providing a reason or advance notification, even where the Cash Out feature has previously been advertised to you as being available at a particular time or in connection with a particular event.  Sportsbet is not liable for any losses incurred by you in connection with such an action being taken (including any losses which arise in connection with promotional material, messaging or social media updates being on display after the time at which such action occurs).

1.9. Any decision of Sportsbet in respect of a result, settlement, a market or the Cash Out feature is final and binding on the parties.

1.10. Sportsbet may:

1.10.1. void the original bet which was Cashed Out;

1.10.2. decline to Cash Out your bet; and/or

1.10.3. require repayment of any amount paid by Sportsbet in respect of the original bet (including the Price), if:

1.10.4. Sportsbet suspects fraud or other improprieties in respect of the original bet or your Request;

1.10.5. the original bet or your Request was made on or after you becoming aware of the outcome of the relevant event(s); or

1.10.6. Sportsbet otherwise has the rights to void the original bet or require repayment under the Rules.

1.11. Any bet in respect of which the Cash Out feature is used will not count towards any turnover requirement in respect of winnings from a Bonus Bet (refer to the Bous Bet Terms: https://helpcentre.sportsbet.com.au/hc/en-us/articles/115004800447.)
1.12. The Cash Out feature is not available on bets where a Bonus Bet has been used.

1.13. The Cash Out feature is not available for a MultiBet unless each individual leg or event within that MultiBet if eligible for Cash Out

1.14. The Cash Out feature is not available for use by a Punters Club under the Punters Club Rules despite the Cash Out icon being displayed https://helpcentre.sportsbet.com.au/hc/en-us/articles/115007253288.

1.15. In the event a telephone conversation between a Sportsbet representative and you in which a Request is being made is interrupted for any reason (including a mobile phone dropping out) prior to the conclusion of the conversation, any unconfirmed Request will be deemed not to have been accepted. In such circumstances, it is your responsibility to contact Sportsbet promptly to confirm the Request you wish to make.

1.16. Sportsbet will make a recording of all telephone calls with you when you are making a Request and such recordings may be made available, used and will be retained in accordance with the Rules.

1.17. All Requests are considered to be placed and received in the NT, Australia.  Sportsbet does not represent or warrant that any Request made by you on your Account or the acceptance by Sportsbet of a Request complies with the legal requirements of any state or country other than the NT.  You must satisfy yourself of (and assume full responsibility for) the legality of making a Request.

2. Power Play Rules

The Power Play feature, and any bets in respect of which the Power Play feature is available, are governed by these Rules and the additional rules described here ('Power Play Rules'). In the event of any inconsistency between these Rules and the Power Play Rules, the Power Play Rules will prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.

2.1. These rules (the 'Power Play Rules') are incorporated into and form part of the Rules. The standard sports and racing rules, including deductions, also apply to Power Play bets.

5. Multi Bet & Same Game Multi Rules

5.1. A MultiBet, also known as a Multiple Bet, Parlay, or All Up is where a Member can select more than one event or competitors in sporting and racing events. For a combination sport/racing MultiBet, the MultiBet must have a minimum of one sporting event included. Each of the odds are multiplied to increase the total dividend.

For example, if the first selection was a Rugby team at $3.30 into an NRL team at $5, a golfer in the Masters to win at $6.30 and a horse to win the Melbourne Cup at $4.40, the total dividend would be $457.38 ($3.30 x $5.00 x $6.30 x $4.40) A wager of $20 placed on this four leg MultiBet would return $9147.60 including the initial stake.

5.2 Should one runner be scratched or per the individual sporting event rules referring to cancellation or postponement, MultiBets may be recalculated excluding that event or leg and the wager on the remaining selection and the initial stake will stand.

5.3 Except for Same Game MultiBets (see Rule 5.8) Multiple bets are not accepted where the outcome of one part of the bet contributes to the outcome of another ('Related Multibet'.) If such bets are inadvertently accepted, Sportsbet reserves the right to declare the whole MultiBet void and funds will be refunded to the Members Betting Account.

5.4 An example of a Related MultiBet is Newcastle at $3.00 to make the Top 4 into Newcastle to Win the Competition at $26.0, with the final dividend $78.00.

5.5. Maximum payout for a Sport or Sport/Racing Combination MultiBet is AUD$1,000,000.

5.5.1. Maximum Multi Bet payout limits apply to any one customer or a group of customers who are in Sportsbet's opinion acting together, who have placed bets containing the same selections, including where placed in a series of bets, at a range of prices, over a number of days using different betting accounts and/or across different betting channels. In such cases, the total payout across all bets/channels/accounts will not exceed the maximum payout limit of AUD$1,000,000.

5.6. Should a Member place a subsequent MultiBet that reflects the initial MultiBet and will result in the Member exceeding the $1,000,000 payout maximum, the additional MultiBets will be void and wagers refunded.

5.7. In the event of a Megabet selection(s) being scratched or an event abandoned, Megabet will revert to a Single Bet or a Multi not including the scratched/abandoned leg. The price of the Single or the reduced Multi will revert to a price based on the Top Fluctuation of the remaining selection(s) for racing, or the highest pre-game price offered by Sportsbet for sport.

5.7.1. In the event of a dead heat in one or more Multibet, Megabet or Same Game Multi legs, standard dead heat rules apply (See Horse Racing General Rule 15.)

5.8. Same Game MultiBets are MultiBets where the selections relate to the same event. Sportsbet's MultiBet Rules apply in respect of 'Same Game MultiBets', except for:

5.8.1 Same Game Multibet odds are calculated based on the inter-relation of the selections in the bet and not a simple multiplication of odds for each selection;

5.8.2. in the event one or more selections are voided in a Same Game Multi bet, the bet will be cancelled and stake refunded to the Member;

5.8.3. Bonus bets are not eligible to be used on Same Game MultiBets; and

5.8.4. Same Game MultiBets cannot be Cashed Out.
