Wondering what handicap betting is? No worries, we are here to help you understand. Handicap betting is when a match is handicapped by the bookmaker.
If one side is considered to be (say) a 5.5 points better than the opposing team, you can wager that this team will win by more than 5.5 points. You can also back the opponent to lose by no more than 5.5 points, or win the match.
For example, if a team is listed with a -5.5 points handicap, then your handicap Bet on that team will win if your team wins by 6 points or more. If a team is listed as +5.5 points, then your Bet will win if your team loses by 5 points or less, or wins the game.
There can be times when the handicap is a full number e.g. a handicap of 5. If you have placed a bet on a handicap market of 5, and the result settles on exactly 5, the 'push' rule will apply, if there was no draw market offered.
The push rule acts like a void, meaning that stakes will be refunded for single bets, multi bets will be recalculated and same game multi's will become void.
Handicap markets are also available to bet on live, however you will be required to call our live betting line to place the bet.
