In any sport, reaching the Grand Final is an amazing achievement. The Norm Smith is awarded to the best player on the ground in the AFL Grand Final.  This is as adjudged by a panel of independent football experts.

• Outright bets will be paid on official results as presented on the day of the Grand Final.  Any changes to the winner or the medal at a later date are ignored for betting purposes.  Markets are settled as All-In betting only.
• For any Groups/Head to Head/Novelty markets, in the event of a tie between two or more players, then the Dead Heat Rules apply.  If no winner is awarded, all bets will be void.

What happens in the event of a tie for Norm Smith Medal?

Norm Smith Medal Bets - outright bets will be paid on official results as presented on the day of the Grand Final. For Groups/Head to Heads/Novelty markets, in the event of a tie between two or more players, then Dead Heat Rule applies. For Groups/Head to Heads/Novelty markets, in the event of a tie between two or more players, after a vote count back for the winner, then Dead Heat Rules apply. If no winner is awarded bets will be void.

What happens if there is a tie for 2^nd or 3^rd place to my Norm Smith Quinella/Exacta/Trifecta/Boxed Trifecta?

In the event of a tie/draw/dead heat where no 'draw' option was offered by Sportsbet on such outcome, wagers will be paid at face value of the ticket (total payout figure including the initial stake) divided by the number of competitors drawing for that placing. Payout on dead heat selection/s will not be less than the customers stake (excluding Cashed Out bets).

This will apply to all markets where stated in the market blurb, including the Norm Smith Medal Quinella/Exacta/Trifecta/Boxed Trifecta markets. For example:

1. If customer had a $100 bet on Nick Daicos/De Goey Exacta at $19.00 and De Goey ties with Lachie Neale on 3 votes each, the payout to the customer will be $950.
   (100 x 19 / 2 = 950). As both Nick Daicos/De Goey and Nick Daicos/Lachie Neale are winners.
