The first group of Contestants will be drawn approximately 40 minutes after gates open (subject to change pending race scheduling). Selected Contestants will have 15 minutes from the time of notification to accept their place in the Heat by presenting themselves at the designated meeting point, as specified in the SMS.
16. If a Contestant fails to meet a designated official at the within fifteen (15) minutes of the Promoter sending the SMS, the Contestant shall forfeit their place in the Heat (Forfeit). In the event of a Contestant’s Forfeit, the applicable number of Reserves will be called upon to replace the Forfeited Contestant, in the order in which the Reserves were randomly selected.
17. All Contestants and entrants acknowledge that the Promoter’s determination of the accurate time is final and binding.
COMPETITION:
HEATS (Promotions1, Promotion 2 and Promotion 3)
18. Contestants shall be placed into one (1) of three (3) heats as determined randomly by the Promoter (Heat). In each Heat, Competitors shall be required to wear custom Promoter branded cricket equipment (including but not limited to pads, gloves, helmets and a cricket bag) (Cricket Gear) provided to them by the Promoter. Contestants shall then line up at a designated starting line and participate in a thirty (30) meter running race, while wearing (and carrying where applicable) their allocated Cricket Gear. Contestants shall only commence running when the race is officially started by the Promoter. Contestants must wear (or carry where applicable) all of the Cricket Gear for the duration of the race. If any Cricket Gear is dropped during the race, it must be picked up and appropriately worn or carried in order to finish the race. The first two Contestants to cross the finish line with all of their Cricket Gear shall be deemed heat winners (Heat Winners) and shall progress to the final. Heat Winners shall be determined solely by the Promoter whose judgement and decision shall be final. Overall, six (6) Contestants shall be determined Heat Winners, comprising two (2) from each Heat.
HEATS (Promotion 4)
19. Contestants shall be placed into one (1) of three (3) heats as determined randomly by the Promoter (Heat). Each Heat will involve a multi-stage cricket-themed race challenge conducted inside the infield at The Meadows. Contestants shall line up at a designated starting line. When the race commences, Contestants will be required to complete a series of tasks that include putting on Cricket Gear and performing cricket-related activities as directed by the Promoter. The Promoter will explain the rules and each stage/obstacle to Contestants prior to the race commencing. Contestants must wear (and carry where applicable) all allocated Cricket Gear for the duration of the Heat. If any Cricket Gear is dropped during the Heat, it must be picked up and appropriately worn or carried in order to finish. The first two (2) Contestants to cross the finish line with all Cricket Gear shall be deemed Heat Winners and shall progress to the final. Heat Winners shall be determined solely by the Promoter whose judgement and decision shall be final. Overall, six (6) Contestants shall be determined Heat Winners, comprising two (2) from each Heat.
FINAL
20. Following the Heats, six (6) Heat Winners shall participate in a cricket catching challenge which shall be considered the final (the Final). Heat Winners must meet at a designated meeting point (as instructed by the Promoter) at a time notified to them by the Promoter following the conclusion of their Heat to validate their entry into the Final. Where the Heat Winner does not present themselves to a designated official by the aforementioned time(s) they shall forfeit their place in the Final and they shall not be replaced.
21. Each Heat Winner will, one at a time, attempt to catch a ball launched from a tennis ball feeding machine (Catching Attempt). A Catching Attempt will be deemed successful if the Heat Winner catches the ball in their hands, and maintains control for a reasonable period without letting the ball touch the ground. The Promoter will determine whether a Catching Attempt is successful. If a Heat Winner drops the ball or is unsuccessful in their Catching Attempt, they will be eliminated from the Promotion and will not be entitled to any Prize. The last remaining Heat Winner with a successful Catching Attempt will be declared the overall Winner and shall be entitled to the Prize.
22. If more than one Heat Winner successfully completes their Catching Attempt the Final will continue with additional rounds until one Heat Winner remains. The sole remaining Heat Winner shall then be deemed the Winner. To increase difficulty in subsequent rounds, the Promoter may introduce additional conditions (such as catching the ball with one hand or catching the ball while hopping on one foot) (Extra Parameters). Where the Heat Winner successfully catches the ball, but does not adhere to said Extra Parameters, their attempt shall be deemed unsuccessful and they shall be eliminated from the Final.
