New Zealand Customer Update

Due to recent legislative changes, from 1st July 2025 you will no longer be able to access your Sportsbet account within New Zealand. If you need to transact on your account (I.E Update details or Withdraw funds) please give our team a call on 1800 990 907 | +0061 1800 990 907 

1. What happens to my pending bets?
   All current pending bets will remain open and will be settled as usual.
2. How can I see any additional detail on my bets that remain? 
   Unfortunately you are unable to access your account moving forward, so you will be unable to access your pending bets section. You can give our team a call to confirm any bet details on your account.
3. Can I view my activity statement?
   To access your activity statement you will need to contact our customer service team as you will not be able to access your Sportsbet account.
4. My address on my account is in New Zealand but I live in Australia?
   If you need to update your address please give our team a call on the number listed above.
5. How do I withdraw funds?
   If you need to withdraw funds from your account please give our team a call on the number listed above.
6. I'm in a Bet With Mates group - what does this mean for me?
   • New Zealand Customers will be removed from Bet With Mates groups from the 14th of July.
   • If you are no longer living in New Zealand, please update your address by giving our team a call on the number listed above immediately to avoid being impacted.
   • Groups consisting entirely of New Zealand customers will be closed and your balance returned to your Personal Sportsbet Account. You will need to get in touch with us to process a withdrawal if you are located in New Zealand.
   • Groups consisting of Australian and New Zealand customers will have their New Zealand customers removed from the group. If the group has less than 2 members after the New Zealand customers have been removed, the group will be closed. We will communicate this to the admin of the Bet With Mates group if this is the case.

Restricted Territories 

Due to licensing laws and regulations within certain countries, Sportsbet does not allow persons located outside Australia to open or operate an account to place bets, or transact with Sportsbet.

If you are staying or holidaying outside Australia, you will not be able to access your Sportsbet account whilst you're there.

Why Do I Get A Restricted Territory Error When In Australia?

We have been made aware that some customers have had an error warning that they are in a restricted territory while being located in Australia. This issue can be resolved through your device settings, by following the below steps:

1. Open your settings on your phone.
2. Search for 'Location Services' or go to 'Privacy' > Location Services/Settings.
3. Ensure that 'Location Services' is turned on & location access 'while using app' is enabled for Sportsbet.
4. If they are already on, turn them off and on again.
5. If that's still not working make sure 'Precise Location' is also enabled in the location settings.

It is still important to note that due to licensing laws and regulations within certain countries, Sportsbet does not allow the residents of or persons located outside Australia to open or operate an account to otherwise place bets, or transact with Sportsbet. 

If you are staying or holidaying outside Australia you will not be able to access your Sportsbet account whilst you're there.

Market Availability Restrictions
