How Does My Deposit Limit Work?

Deposit Limit Changes

We're making some changes to how your Deposit Limit works based on your feedback. These changes are being made so that it is easier to manage & track your spend.

Changes to your Deposit Limit will automatically be applied in a few weeks, and we will send some reminders and confirmation once we have switched your limit.

Below you can check what the upcoming/new changes are with Fixed Period Deposit Limits, as well as review the info on our current Rolling Period Deposit Limit.

  • Deposit Limits work by limiting the amount you can deposit into your Sportsbet account for an amount and period that you wish.

You will need to set the amount of money you can afford to deposit into your Sportsbet account over a specific time period. A Deposit Limit can be set for the following time periods: Daily (1 Day), Weekly (7 Days), Fortnightly (14 Days) or Monthly (28 Days)

    Here’s a simple example:

Say you choose to set your new $50 weekly deposit limit on a Monday

    • On Saturday, you deposit $10 (leaving you with an available amount of $40)
    • On Sunday at midnight 11:59pm (as observed in VIC/NSW), your deposit limit will reset completely.
    • This means, on Monday you will have the full $50 to deposit again.
        • Your entire deposit limit will reset back in full regardless of whether you deposited in the previous week or not

We’ve also updated the Deposit Limit section to make it easier to understand how much you can deposit at any point in time at a glance!

    Some of the changes include:

    • Quick Track Progress Bar: Quick view on how much you have deposited so far against your limit and how much you’re eligible to deposit now.
    • Reset Time/Date: Know when you can expect your deposit limit to reset

  • You will need to set the amount of money you can afford to deposit into your Sportsbet account over a specific time period.

A Deposit Limit can be set for the following time periods: 24 hour, 7 day, 14 day and 28 day periods.

    Important example!

Deposit limits are a rolling clock that takes into account the time you made your deposit and don't reset at midnight.

If you have a $50 deposit limit per week, and deposited $25 at Thursday 8 pm, and then $25 Friday 8 pm, you would not be able to deposit till the following Thursday at 8 pm and only $25, then the remaining $25 on Friday 8 pm.
