The Race Card

• To switch to another meet, click the down arrow next to the Track name. Good (4) is the rating of the track. Navigate between races by clicking the numbers across the top of the screen. Below the race numbers are the distance, name and time of the race you are currently viewing.
• Switch between market types by selecting win or place, trifecta, first 4, quinella, exacta, quaddie, early quaddie, daily double, treble or running double.
• Each Runner in a race will have information as above. The number in brackets (5) is the Barrier the horse will run from. The weight of 57.0kg is the Total Weight the horse is carrying. J is the name of the Jockey scheduled for the ride. T is the name of the Trainer of the selection.
• 36x724 is the result in the last 6 starts of the selection. $8.50 is the fixed odds price for the selection to win $2.40 is the fixed odds price for the selection to place.

The Form Guide

Below our punters can find a breakdown to help assist in reading Sportsbet’s form guide for each specific market, as we know it can look confusing at times.

The information displayed on the form guide.

• Wet Rating  – A rating out of 100 for the runner’s performance in wet track conditions and is related to Slow and Heavy conditions.
• Dry Rating  –  A rating out of 100 for the runner’s performance in dry track conditions and is related to Fast, Good and Dead conditions.
• Market Mover  –  The runner who has been best backed by the punters.
• BlackBook Comments on the Race Card –  Any selection that you have BlackBooked will be displayed on the race card along with any personal comments you have made.
• Fluctuation Graph  –  A graph that displays the fixed odds price movements of the runner.
• Prize Money  –  The amount of money the runner has earned in winnings shown in AUD.
• Career: Number of career starts, and the amount of wins, second, and third places. In the above example, in 6 races 'The Sands' has won none, came second in two and came third in none.

Thoroughbred Specific

From the race card, clicking on a selection will drop down some basic form guide information, you can find descriptions of each metric below.

• Last 6 –  The finishing place over the last 6 races.
• Career –  Number of career starts, and the number of first, second, and third places.
• Track –  Number of starts on today's races track, and the number of wins, second place, or third placings at this same track.
• Distance –  Number of starts at today's races distance, and the number of wins, second place, or third placings at this same distance.
• Track/Distance –  Number of starts on today's race track, at this distance, and the number of wins, second place, or third placings at this same track and distance.
• Prize Money - The total amount of prize money the horse has won during its career.
• 1st Up – the horse's form in the first race back after any breaks.
• 2nd Up – the horse's form in the second race back after any breaks.
• 3rd Up – the horse's form in the third race back after any breaks.
• Firm –  Number of starts on a Firm Track, and the number of wins, second place, or third placings.
• Good –  Number of starts on a Good Track, and the number of wins, second place, or third placings.
• Soft –  Number of starts on a Soft Track, and the number of wins, second place, or third placings.
• Heavy –  Number of starts on a Heavy Track, and the number of wins, second place, or third placings.
• Rating –  A rating out of 100 is given to the horse in the upcoming race.
• Win % –  Percentage of races this horse has won.
• Place % –  Percentage of races this horse has placed.
• Expected Settling Position –  Where the horse is expected to sit during the race.
• Last Start –  Shows Place, Jockey, Starting Price and Weight of the last race that the horse ran.
• [T] - Trainers Name.
• [J] - Jockey's Name.
• [W] - Horses Weight in kilograms.
• Sire - Father of the Horse.
• Dam - Mother of the Horse.
• [C] – Horse’s Colour.
• [A] – Age of Horse.

Jockey - Number of starts with this Jockey, and the amount of first, second, and third places.

• By clicking the sectionals tab at the top of the screen you can view the average speed for all horses in the race (Overall, Early, Mid and Late).

Harness Specific

• Sire – Father.
• Dam – Mother.
• Last 6 – The finishing place over the last 6 races.
• Career - Number of career starts, and the amount of wins, second, and third places.
• Track - Number of starts on today's races track, and the number of wins, second place, or third placings at this same track.
• Distance - Number of starts at today's races distance, and the number of wins, second place, or third placings at this same distance.
• Prize Money - The total amount of prize money the horse has won during its career.
• Distance Range – Record at this distance range.
• Best Mile – Horse’s best time for 1 mile.
• Win % - Percentage of races this horse has won.
• Place % - Percentage of races this horse has placed.

Greyhound Specific

• Sire – Father.
• Dam – Mother.
• Last 6 – The finishing place over the last 6 races.
• Career - Number of career starts, and the amount of wins, second, and third places.
• Track - Number of starts on today's races track, and the number of wins, second place, or third placings at this same track.
• Distance - Number of starts at today's races distance, and the number of wins, second place, or third placings at this same distance.
• Prize Money - The total amount of prize money the horse has won during its career.
• Best Time – Best time at the distance.
• Whelped – When the dog was born.
• Rating - A rating out of 100 is given to the dog in the upcoming race.
• Win % - Percentage of races this horse has won.
• Place % - Percentage of races this horse has placed.
• Weight – Weight of the Dog.
